Sandboarding

Sandboarding is a sport practiced on sand dunes with enough incline to make the sandboard slide down. When practiced professionally, the sport is similar to snowboarding.
Currently, there are several communities of sandboarders around the world that develop and spread this sport. Among those communities is mainly South America where Peru is located with the largest and highest sand dunes in the world, Duna Cerro Blanco, Duna Cerro Marcha and Duna Toro Mata, Chile with the great Duna Medanoso (Copiapo) and Duna Cerro Dragon ( Iquique) and Brazil which, despite its tallest dune, at just 80 feet tall, is considered home to the best sandboarders in the world.
