SandSkiing

The sandskiing is a sport practiced on descents of dunes with a suitable inclination. The sport professionally has its origin with the practice of skiing on snow, unlike sandboarding which was first popularized tourist with descents in sitting position, lying and gradually standing with craft boards.

A pioneering place in this sport has been Mount Kaolino – Germany, where this sport has been practiced for 60 years; and then with the development of snowboarding, sandboarders also arose in this hemisphere, using the same snow equipment in the kaolin sand mountain.

20 years ago sandskiing entered in Namibia precisely with a skier from Germany, and in Peru is currently present thanks to our organization InterSands, working on this development to expand this discipline not only in South America, but globally.
